I am so in love with this trend! I haven’t found an affordable pair yet – anyone?
What do you feel about these? Dressier shorts are classy? Too frilly and old?

I think it’s adorable, but since it is a trend, I’m not willing to shell out too much money. If I could make them myself and not completely screw up, that’d be cool.

Actually, I’ve seen some really well done versions at Urban Outfitters. You know, their tap pants and scallop hem shorts are very sweetly vintage inspired and not apt to break the wallet. Hope that helps! :)

I looked at the reviews for that pair actually and it seems that they’re super sheer and fragile so be careful :)

I think they are so sweet! I like that they are a little more formal than the usual denim shorts.

I think they’re really nice but it’s a shame there’s not many place selling them at the moment. I don’t like the look of those UO ones, they look a bit cheap to me.
ASOS had a nice nude coloured pair a while back, I hope they restock them as they were beautiful.

The ones from Urban look they’re giving the model a nasty camel toe!

UO just came out with a new set and they seem to be much better than their sheer crappy rider uppers

I peeped the uo page and these are cute, but not really my style. The bunching at the croch is not flattering. maybe if they had more flare on the thighs?

i think it was just bunching at the crotch cuz it seemed like they just threw it on the model. i’m sure if styled correctly, they’d look just fine…

Oh i really want some!! :) I haven’t seen any stores in Australia that stock them though :( The material on those UO tap shorts looks thin though and not very flattering, I would prefer ones with a different material. The other ones they have in stock are nicer i think :)
I wonder how hard it would be to make some scalloped shorts??

i’d be worried about it fraying, which throws off the classy feel. i just hope forever21 starts making them xD

there’s a cute pair on modcloth’s website. Check them out. I just realized that they’re not that cheap: $67, but if you want, here’s the link:
