Bloggers already are! I mean look, there are people who blog as a profession! Bloggers really are kind of the heart and soul of fashion as well. Sure, magazines showcase all the newest and hottest things, but bloggers are what make it happen! They wear the trends, they mix up their own style, and they live it!

Bloggers already are part of the industry. If a certain famous blogger posts a bag or necklace that they adore it instantly increases the sale of that particular item.

I think it’s very odd that many people see at as bloggers vs. the industry… I think it’s mostly just a few editors that seem to think bloggers are stealing the thunder, but I don’t really believe that’s what’s happening. There’s a handful of bloggers that are on their way to becoming fashion’s it girls… if not already there. I see that editors make claims that they don’t have the experience, they might lack credibility, etc. but I think it can go either way, truthfully.

In theory, what I love about bloggers – normal people – having more of a say is that they’re not jaded. Unfortunately, it seems like some are becoming a little jaded… my favorites are the ones that aren’t naive, but still possess a sense of amusement.

There is no doubt there is no longer a division between blogging and the fashion industry. Like many have said, people are making a living of blogging, the only thing that has changed is how we communicate fashion. I truly do applaud fashion bloggers because they show us the heart behind fashion, how each and everyone of us can express ourselves through what we wear, and how being yourself is wearing what truly makes YOU happy is essential! NO MORE CLONES! It’s truly magical if you ask me.

bloggers have a big contribution to the fashion industry especially if they have a great number of followers.

If nothing else, bloggers are simply an independent sector of the fashion industry. However, I really don’t think they are two separate categories. Plus, many stores are catching on to the fact that bloggers are a great way to promote their items…

Both are nice, but bloggers have something the fashion industry will never have: images of fashion on real people with real proportions.

While I think bloggers are incredibly talented for styling themselves and immersing themselves in the fashion culture as much as they can, I think that there are many bloggers who aren’t that original and who copy off of others. That may be the only downfall of fashion bloggers—their homogenization. Not to say that there aren’t some great ones out there, ie. Susie Bubble.

On the other hand I think that fashion editors are more obviously good at what they do because they’ve either got credentials, the impressive resume or have worked up to that title, whereas bloggers build up their status based on audience popularity and not necessarily substance.

It really comes down to a question of: do we listen to the fashion industry insiders or do we try to dictate fashion for ourselves? And if we do choose to control the fashion industry ourselves (like what bloggers have been doing), how much control do we actually have, as it’s impossible to be unaffected by the things we see in Paris or the collections of Chanel or Dior.

Just my two cents.

I completely think that blogs are a part of the fashion industry. In fact, I think the fashion industry has evolved due to bloggers. There’s so much more emphasis on personal styling now! Designers are even teaming up with bloggers for projects too!

Of course they are A BIG PART of fashion industry.
Besides they are users (buyers of garments, magazines, etc.) they have a bigger surface to show via their blog.
They are more: they help to fashion industry, I think
I find things, articles, etc. with blogs that I would never find.

fashion bloggers and fashion industry are closely related. fashion bloggers can be used as inspiration and reference in the fashion world. fashion bloggers also can become a place for the promotion of fashion goods.

Some people feel strongly against the fashion bloggers who get fame and recognition for their work. Blogging is a new medium to showcase style and it doesn’t have to be dictated by just one person (or one group of people) in an office. This is real people wearing real clothes in real life. That is what I like most about blogging.
The outfits aren’t 100% huge (expensive) designer brands and glossy photoshopped models. They are real girls in real clothes doing real things. My reason for starting a fashion blog was to share my style with others and be inspired in return by them.
I hope that the fashion world will someday completely accept bloggers as a vital part of the industry – some have and they will be further ahead with the masses for it.
